Daily 25

I made it here before midnight! Huzzah!
Actually, it’s only because I just got home and am stuffing my face with cereal (my apologies to the vegetables I intended to have today) before I turn my attention to the side-hustle. It was a looooong work-work day but that’s good. I’m grateful $$$.

What’s new? Well, I found out I’m banned from a social media giant. I won’t say which one exactly, but I’ll be griping about it in my next “In the Heart of the Hustle” post. Probably … I’ll finish it on Monday because I’m working all weekend and, if you’re going to publicly lambaste someone, you’d better do a damn good job of it.

I had intended this personal blog to include posts about the city and my hobbies. Unfortunately, getting out and about to take pictures and try new things is, uh, not really working out in the middle of a pandemic. Also, I’m so busy right now I don’t have time for my other hobbies. My piano is gathering dust. My newbie guitar is frowning at me as the callouses on my fingers have smoothed away. My art supplies are lecturing me from their storage space, whilst my craft supplies are sighing passive aggressively whenever I look their way. And my long list of TBR books and TBW shows & movies? Ha. They’re not even talking to me anymore.

One day, when all this preliminary, preparatory work is done and my time frees up a little again, they’ll understand—I’m doing this for all of us. So we can spend more time together without worrying about what we’re going to have for dinner tomorrow … and hopefully buy a lovely little plot of land somewhere unlikely to be decimated by the looming onslaught of climate change driven disasters.

I really don’t think that’s too much to ask for. Do you?
